Position Summary

JSJ Corporation is looking for a Human Resource Manager reporting directly to the JSJ Director of HR.  The successful candidate will support strategic business initiatives and employee engagement across JSJ and its portfolio of businesses. The candidate will establish strong business partnerships and provide hands-on, tactical support in the area of employee relations, coaching to the HR team, resources planning, talent acquisition strategy, performance management and compliance.  The HR Manager will provide overall HR support to the Corporate Office and deliver value-added support to business HR teams.


Your duties will include: 

  • Conduct regular forums, and best practice meetings with respective businesses.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies that support business initiatives.
  • Conduct periodic reviews / audits of employee handbooks, labor posting notices and records retention practices for corporate support functions to ensure compliance with Federal & State regulations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day HR issues, reducing legal risks and ensuring corporate regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with HR teams to successfully implement talent acquisition and talent management processes and initiatives.
  • Provide HR guidance and input on business restructures, workforce planning, acquisition integration, and succession planning.
  • Provide training, coaching and guidance for business HR professionals.
  • Provide overall HR management for the Corporate Office.
  • Field assignments and project work as required.
  • Partner with the HR Shared Services Manager to maintain cohesive and effective HR services to the portfolio of businesses. 


You'll have proficiency in the following:

  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and independently manage multiple initiatives from concept to finish.
  • Strong interpersonal / collaboration skills; ability to interface with all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid business acumen to develop effective HR solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interface with HR technology.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Educational and Technical requirements preferred: 

Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field and 5+ years of experience.  PHR or SPHR preferred. Successful candidate must be able to provide limited travel including overnight stays
