Hudson Technologies’ green thumb in economic gardening
Often referred to as economic gardening, focusing on business retention and expansion as well as new business recruitment is an effective approach to achieving economic development. We couldn’t agree more.
At the 2010 Economic Development Forum in Ormond Beach, Florida, city and chamber of commerce officials honored Hudson Technologies with the Retention/Expansion Project Award. Ormond Beach Economic Development Director Joe Mannarino, noting that the Volusia Manufacturers Association has recognized Hudson Technologies as a model manufacturer, said, “Hudson has also made a significant investment in our community through $2.6 million in capital they have invested in the business over the last three years to develop new environmentally-sound manufacturing processes and expand capacity.”
