Sparks de Mexico has a new home! After 16 years in their previous facility, Sparks has moved across Monterrey to a larger, brand new facility with 8,600 square feet of shop and storage space (almost double what they had before) and 1,800 square feet of office space.
There are multiple reasons for the move, combining to make perfect business sense. First, they had reached capacity in their old building so now they have room to grow. Second, they are closer to a number of customers with high demand of on-site services, so response time is improving. And third, one of Sparks’ largest customers is moving part of their production to Mexico so now Sparks de Mexico will be able to process orders out of the new building which will have the space for the inventory and a necessary manufacturing cell.
The move to the new facility was completed the first of July, over that Friday and Saturday, and the first parts were shipped that following Monday. The first installations were also completed on that same Monday. Sparks de Mexico was able to move into the new building with no interruption to their customers, an amazing feat!
There are three key people on the Sparks de Mexico team that made this project possible; Jesus Candenedo, general manager, Cristina Rodriguez, administration manager, and Alejandro Resendiz, shop foreman. It was through their hard work and dedication that the facility was able to make this move without disrupting customer relationships.
Jesus is proud of this team and the work they have accomplished. “We plan to have a small celebration of our new building with vendors and customers in early September.”If only we could all take a trip and be there for the celebration! Join us in congratulating Sparks de Mexico on their successful transition to their new home!
