JSJ China Forms Joint Venture for Exposed Wood Veneer Seating

JSJ China has teamed up with Chongqing Changhong Woods Co., Ltd. (CCWC) to promote exposed wood veneer manufacturing and assembly in China, through a joint venture called CCWC Master Formworks.

CCWC Master Formworks is ready to provide designers, engineers and buyers who are very familiar with resources in China with a new and better option for custom-design chair backs, chair seats, and co-joined back and seat shells. A strong, high quality material available at a low cost, exposed wood veneer has a sleek, contemporary look and strong environmental story - attributes that are popular among furniture designers and their customers.

Currently handling small production runs, CCWC Master Formworks is constructing a new facility with 3 and 5-axis CNC routers that is scheduled to start production in fourth quarter 2008.

About JSJ

JSJ Corporation has nearly 90 years of business experience, with more than 20 years of on-the-ground manufacturing experience in China. Currently, the company operates four WOFEs (wholly owned foreign enterprises) in China as well as the CCWC Master Formworks joint venture.

Since 1989, JSJ China has been a consultant to companies sourcing in China, and now offers product assembly capabilities.

“We see CCWC Master Formworks as the creative, innovative strategic partner companies wish they had, rather than the basic supplier or parts broker they might have settled for in the past,” says Scott Haney, JSJ’s China business and finance manager. “This joint venture is designed to serve business people who know China, and who have been to China many times. We can help them move beyond a single-source arrangement, to direct, personal China business relationships. Our goal is to help businesses who want more custom and technical capabilities – just like the strategic supplier relationships they rely on in their home countries.”
