izzy+

The new Hannah swivel-tilt task chair earned an Editors’ Choice Award as part of the 2007 Best of NeoCon competition – headlining a successful trade show event for izzydesign, designer and maker of cool, affordable office furniture and seating.

Since the company’s launch in 2001, izzy+ has won NeoCon honors six out of seven years at the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair in Chicago.

This year, the izzy+ story features collaboration. From people, products and class projects, to penguins and panda bears, the company’s showroom at The Merchandise Mart was teeming with teamwork:

  • Audrey is izzydesign’s new modular cabinet and table collection. It’s designed all around people – focused on personal interaction at home and in the workplace.
  • Lounge seating from Nemschoff in classic Modernist design showed izzy’s new strategic alliance in the healthcare market.
  • Once again, a class project from Kendall College of Art & Design’s interior design students was selected for display at the izzy+ showroom during NeoCon.
  • Studio Z collaborated with izzy+ on new printed GlassPix patterns for Audrey and Edison privacy panels. Studio Z’s Jacqform™ textile technology also appeared on concept seating for Audrey.

Customers also met Puck the African penguin and Penelope the giant panda, the first edition of collectible izzyCritters. New from izzydesign, these exotic ambassadors for children at risk are stuffed pillows constructed using Studio Z’s Jacqform woven textile technology. Proceeds of future izzyCritters sales will raise funds for children’s charities.
