60 Years and Growing
Mcloone, a JSJ business, is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
Located in La Crosse, Wisconsin, mcloone is an award-winning manufacturer of high quality identification graphics, including custom decals, nameplates and pressure sensitive labels.
The company started out in 1954 as the James E. Mcloone Advertising Service, Inc., a small home-based business. It was purchased by JSJ Corporation in 1980 and today employs more than 100 employees.
Mcloone offers a wide array of products including metal labels and nameplates, plastic decals, self-adhesive labels, asset tags, metal signs, Point of Purchase enhancements and polycarbonate graphic overlays. The combined experience and skills of the highly trained and dedicated staff at mcloone are second to none when it comes to doming, embossing, laminating, piercing and die cutting. In addition to the tried-and-true process of screen printing, mcloone also offers the newest in digital technology with even more advancements on the way.
One of the ways mcloone is marking its 60th anniversary milestone is by taking stock in the past and celebrating the strong foundation it has been able to build over the last six decades. Another is by looking forward with excitement and anticipation about the innovative technology, products and services it is continually adding. These changes will help insure mcloone continues a path of growth in customer satisfaction well into the future.
“The technological, production and administrative changes we are making today will help insure the success of our company for years to come,” says mcloone Vice President of Manufacturing Keith Rosenthal.
In addition to continually looking for more innovative processes and products, Mcloone also takes its environmental stewardship seriously. Recognized by the community for its efforts to reduce its environmental impact, mcloone was honored with the 2009 Wisconsin Partners for Clean Air award. These efforts continue and include such things as eliminating lead-based paints, reducing volatile emissions and improving wastewater output.
“We’re excited about what we are doing,” says Rosenthal. “Mcloone is growing. We’re growing in a way that is not only making our business more solid for our customers and the employees today, but for all who will follow us into the future. That’s Stewarding the Legacy, one of our core values. That’s what it’s all about.”
