Award-winning air quality from Mcloone
Taking personal responsibility for health, safety, and our environment is one of our company's core values.
That's why we're so proud of the employees at Mcloone, our graphics identity business. Mcloone was honored during the 2009 Clean Air Extravaganza for successful reduction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions. Wisconsin Partners for Clean Air presented the award to Mcloone to recognize its voluntary effort to improve air quality.
How successful was Mcloone? Never underestimate what hard work and commitment can achieve. In 2008, Mcloone employees set an aggressive three-year goal to substantially reduce VOCs. However, they did even better than anticipated, beating the goal and reducing overall VOC usage by 85 percent in just one year. That means the business went from 14 tons of VOC output in 2002 to 1.3 tons in 2009.
Frito-Lay and Kohl's Department Stores also earned recognition awards from Wisconsin Partners for Clean Air. It's exciting that Mcloone employees are among an elite group of people statewide dedicated to environmental stewardship. Congratulations!
