Manufacturer Marks Milestone

Seventy years ago Charles Batka, an immigrant from Czechoslovakia, started a metal pressing business in his New Jersey garage. Today, Hudson Technologies, a JSJ business since 1984, is a thriving manufacturer of precision engineered deep drawn, or seamless, metal enclosures and stampings with over 220 employees.

Hudsonrecently celebrated 70 years of manufacturing excellence with a community open house at its facility in Ormond Beach, Florida. Over 350 people enjoyed plant tours, manufacturing demonstrations and displays, history exhibits and refreshments.

During a ceremony led by Hudson Technologies President Mark Andrews, county and city officials proclaimed Oct. 2, 2010 “Hudson Technologies Day.”  The ceremony concluded with the presentation of a special United States flag which had been flown over the U.S. Capital, on Labor Day, in honor of Hudson Technologies.

“We hold four values dear at Hudson Technologies – Earn Trust, Learn By Doing, Working Together and Steward Our Legacy,” says Andrews.  “Of those values, this event gave us the opportunity to step back for a moment and celebrate our shared heritage. Going forward, it is our commitment to preserve the legacy of our founder, to invest wisely in our business, to help our customers be successful, and to provide a fair return to our employees and the community that will insure we continue to be here for generations to come.”
