Mcloone employee team supports American Cancer Society
Once again, Mcloone employees, family members and friends laced up their shoes for a good cause during the 2010 American Cancer Society 5K Family Run/Walk presented by UnitedHealthcare.
This was the 12th year that Mcloone participated as a team in the Run/Walk in Onalaska, Wisconsin, and the Mcloone team raised $1,652.
More than 1,600 people registered to run or walk in the 2010 event, which featured 70 corporate and family teams. The fund-raising effort earned $87,197 for the American Cancer Society. These contributions help support American Cancer Society activities in research, education, advocacy and service.
"Cancer is a disease that touches everyone's lives. This annual community event is a great way to show our support,” says Sharon Erler, Mcloone’s business development liaison. “We have participated as a team since 1998, and Mcloone has always been one of the top fundraising teams thanks to the generosity of our colleagues, friends and families. This past year we dedicated the back of our t-shirts to our loved ones and employees who lost their lives to cancer. This lifted our spirits and kept us motivated. Next year's event will bring us even closer to a long overdue cure."
