    Photo of Lynne Sherwood Lynne Sherwood joined JSJ Corporation's board of directors in 1981. She served as Corporate Secretary from 1997 to 2005, when she was elected Chairman. Beginning with National Bank of Detroit, her career spans more than 40 years. In 1965, she joined the investment research department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. of New York, where she served as securities analyst, vice president and associate director of research, and consultant on special projects until 2000. Sherwood earned a bachelor's degree with honors in economics from Stanford University and an MBA in finance from Harvard Business School. She is chairman and trustee of the JSJ Foundation, and a trustee of Michigan Colleges Foundation, Alma College, and Grand Haven Area Community Foundation, where she was chairman 2003-2005. Currently, she is treasurer of the Grand Haven Rotary STRIVE program and a member of the board of directors of the Spring Lake District Library, where she served as president 2001-2003 and currently serves as treasurer.

    Photo of Nelson Jacobson With previous experience at The Dow Chemical Company and McKinsey & Company, Nelson C. Jacobson joined JSJ in 1986. He was most recently executive vice president and chief operating officer. Previously, he served as corporate officer responsible for JSJ’s International Business Development, and its Furniture and Distribution Business Units. Jacobson has been instrumental in building JSJ's manufacturing and selling capabilities in China as well as providing services to other Michigan companies entering the China market. Jacobson received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization and Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer's Association (BIFMA).

    Photo of Martin Jennings Martin Jennings joined JSJ Corporation as senior vice president and chief financial officer in 2007, succeeding Michael Metzger, who continues to serve JSJ as vice president, treasurer and secretary. A 20-year veteran with Ernst & Young, Jennings is a certified public accountant (CPA). He is a graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting.

    Photo of Michael Metzger Michael D. Metzger joined JSJ Corporation in 1976 as a staff accountant after six years at Servomation Corporation as district controller. In 1977, he became JSJ's first internal auditor, and in 1981 served as controller of the company's Michigan Plastic Products and DeKalb Molded Plastics businesses. Promoted to corporate controller in 1984, Metzger became a corporate officer of JSJ in 1985. Metzger earned a bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University and an MBA from Grand Valley State University's Seidman College of Business. He served in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam war veteran. Past treasurer of the North Ottawa Community Hospital board of trustees and member of the Grand Haven Airport Board, Metzger is currently treasurer of First Priority of The Lakeshore.

  5. Dave De YoungVice President - Business Systems, Chief Information Officer Show Bio

    Photo of Dave De Young David J. De Young joined JSJ Corporation in 1993 as manager of information systems for SuperiorFurniture in Belton, Texas, now part of JSJ’s izzydesign office furniture and seating business. He previously worked for Comerica Bank, Bank One and Banc One Corporation in Columbus, Ohio. After serving as izzydesign’s chief financial officer and vice president of information technology, De Young became business development director in 2004 for JSJ’s Hudson Tool & Die, Mcloone product identity nameplates and decals and Penn printing operations. He then was named acting chief executive officer of Penn, which was divested in 2006. His current responsibilities include business development, organizational development, property management, and marketing and communications. De Young earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University, graduating magna cum laude.

  6. Barry LemaySenior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer Show Bio

    Photo of Barry Lemay Barry Lemay joined JSJ Corporation in 2006. As Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of JSJ, he is responsible for all operational, developmental, and profitability objectives for all JSJ businesses: Dake, GHSP, Hudson Technologies, izzy+, Mcloone, and Sparks. Additionally, Barry participates as a member of the JSJ leadership team. Previously, Lemay was president of Datamatics Technologies Inc., chief executive officer at CorPay Solutions (acquired by Datamatics in 2003), and vice president at NPC, global processor of credit and debit card transactions. Lemay also worked 17 years for General Motors Corporation in management positions responsible for finance and accounting, forecasting, pricing and incentives, business operations and business administration. He was senior administrator of North America Disbursement Operations for the Buick / Oldsmobile/ Cadillac Group. Lemay graduated with a master's degree in business administration from Central Michigan University and a bachelor's of science degree from Dominican College. Mentored early in his career at General Motors by renowned quality-performance expert W. Edwards Deming, Lemay also holds a strategic business planning certificate from The Wharton Business School.
