    Photo of Nelson C. Jacobson Nelson C. Jacobson serves as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of JSJ Corporation, the privately held, Michigan-based growth firm founded by his grandfather and two partners in 1919. Since joining the family-owned business in 1986, Jacobson has led JSJ’s global expansion in Asia, and deepened the commitment of JSJ-owned companies to entrepreneurship and innovation. JSJ companies are built on a set of common values and principles, and a shared one-page strategic planning approach called the Rockefeller Habits that seeks to leverage the unique and diverse talents of people. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Jacobson began his career at The Dow Chemical Company and McKinsey & Company. He also holds an MBA degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Jacobson is a board member of Light Corporation, Flexfab, Inc., and Grand Valley University Foundation. He’s also a member of the World President’s Organization and the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers’ Association (BIFMA). He and his wife, Lana, live in Grand Haven, Michigan, and are the parents of three sons.

Rizzi Tom Rizzi joined JSJ Corporation in 2016 as executive vice president and chief operating officer, following an extensive career within industrial manufacturing and distribution environments across a variety of industries. Prior to joining JSJ, Tom was the President and CEO for Pettibone LLC, an operating platform within The Heico Companies. His prior leadership experience includes executive roles at Barnes Group Inc. and Gerber Scientific, Inc. Tom’s career includes significant international experience having lived and worked in Asia, Europe, Canada and the U.S. He is a graduate of The University of Connecticut and he also holds an MBA from Newport University. Tom continues to sharpen his skills through participating as a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and the Division Leadership Council of the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI). In addition to his executive career, Tom served on the Boards of UCONN’s Alumni Association, the Arthritis Foundation and the Downers Grove Chamber Of Commerce. He and his wife, Laureen, live in East Grand Rapids, Michigan, with their son.

    Photo of Erick P. Johnson Erick Johnson is responsible for leading the JSJ businesses that comprise the Industrial Brands group, which includes Dake, Hudson Technologies, mcloone and Sparks. His career with family-owned JSJ Corporation, founded by his grandfather and two partners, began in 1992. His background includes a wide variety of manufacturing experience in the automotive, office furniture and industrial sectors having held management positions with several JSJ businesses including Grand-Haven based GHSP, which is JSJ’s largest business. He also serves as a trustee of the JSJ Foundation. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from Alma College and a master’s of Business Administration from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. He is a member of the Grand Haven Rotary Club and trustee of the Muskegon Museum of Art. A Michigan native, Johnson and his wife Holly reside in Spring Lake, MI, with their two children.

  4. Eric S. BoonstraVice President Finance, Corporate Controller Show Bio

    Photo of Eric S. Boonstra Eric Boonstra joined JSJ Corporation in 2014 as vice president of finance and corporate controller. His extensive experience in finance includes leadership as corporate controller at BISSELL Homecare, which supplies households across the globe with vacuums, sweepers, deep-cleaning machines, hard floor cleaners and cleaning formulas. He also was senior director of finance at Spectrum Health, one of the nation’s 15 Top Health Systems® comprised of 11 hospitals, 1,200 physicians and advanced practice providers, and more than 21,000 employees. Boonstra is a certified public accountant having spent 12 years of work at Ernst & Young, including serving as audit senior manager for JSJ in the early-2000s. At JSJ, Boonstra is responsible for financial planning and reporting, global tax strategy and compliance, and risk and benefits. He also is involved in setting vision and strategy for JSJ and developing finance team members for future success. He is a native of Denver, Colorado and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

  5. Jim D. NuttVice President, Information Technology Show Bio

    Photo of Jim D. Nutt Jim Nutt is vice president of information technology at JSJ, joining the company in 2008 as manager of information technology services. He was promoted to director in 2014, demonstrating his ability to build teams, provide exceptional client service and execute strategy. At JSJ, Nutt oversees global technology operations, and information technology policies. For nearly 10 years, he was a technical business consultant for EMC Corporation, a global leader helping businesses deliver IT services including cloud computing. He is a native of West Michigan and earned a bachelor's degree in management information systems from Grand Valley State University in Michigan
