We’ve invested millions in programs and education, humanities and arts, health, the environment, and human and social service programs through the JSJ Foundation, which was created in 1983. One of our core values is stewarding our legacy, or giving back to the community that has generously supported us throughout the years.
We have a great deal of experience in developing our businesses and building true partnerships, with the future always in our foresight. JSJ is a joint venture from Alvin E. Jacobson, Sr., Paul A. Johnson, and B.P. Sherwood, who rebuilt Grand Haven Brass Foundry after a fire in 1919 and officially formed JSJ in 1970. From a small beginning in Grand Haven to a global presence as a growth firm, we’ve stayed true to our values and roots.
Our businesses represent manufacturing, distribution, and service companies with a passion for problem solving on a global level. Each company is unique, but all hold the same values as JSJ.
We’re headquartered in Grand Haven, Michigan and Tianjin, China, and our portfolio of businesses call many locations throughout the U.S. and world home.
